In VOX’s summer issue, you will find my celestial readings for June, July and August 2026. Compared with spring, the summer of 2026 may be described as a far livelier season. For me, the most striking theme this time is the shift of the Lunar Nodes, which complete their passage through the Virgo-Pisces axis and move into the Leo-Aquarius axis.
The Lunar Nodes are two mathematical points which, as seen from Earth, mark where the Moon’s orbit intersects the apparent path of the Sun. These two points are named according to the region of intersection: the North Node (NN) and the South Node (SN). In every natal or mundane chart, these two mathematical points always stand directly opposite one another.
Accordingly, as of 27 July 2026, the Lunar Nodes will leave the Virgo (SN)-Pisces (NN) axis and enter the Leo (SN)-Aquarius (NN) axis, where they will remain until 26 March 2028.
In astrology, the North Node represents a person’s life purpose, aims, destiny and the lessons yet to be learned. It points to the themes that may support mental and emotional growth, as well as to what is new, unfamiliar and developmental for the individual. The South Node, meanwhile, represents habits, fears, limitations and lessons already known – in some traditions, those carried over from previous lifetimes. It speaks of the opportunities through which one faces the inner world and transcends inner restrictions. In brief, the South Node may be thought of as what one already carries in the satchel; the North Node is what has not yet found its way inside it.
Some branches of astrology suggest that one must move from the ‘bad’ South Node toward the ‘good’ North Node. I, however, am among those who resist classifying celestial elements as good or bad. For this reason, I do not read the South Node and the North Node – two points that never abandon their condition of opposition – as a road leading from evil to virtue. I see them instead as a current that asks to be balanced. After all, not every habit signified by the South Node harms us or creates an obstacle; at times, it even gives us ease. Likewise, not every new condition signified by the North Node is necessarily beneficial; it may also place us in a difficult position. Here, then, balance is the essential principle.
So what, for roughly the next year and a half, will we mainly be trying to balance in our private lives? The answer lies hidden in the scenarios of the signs through which the Nodes are passing. Let us look at these scenarios within a broad framework.
Because Leo is ruled by the Sun, it is associated with awareness and consciousness, attracting attention, independence, the use of power, pressure, managing people, risk or energy, bullying, mockery, play, pleasure, falling in love, destroying, killing, burning, pride, morale and motivation, creativity, clarity, honesty, conscience – or the lack of it – and health. Because Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, it is associated with gathering around a person, subject or purpose; belonging to a group or leaving one; excluding someone from a group or admitting them into it; acting collectively; and moving with a herd mentality. This means that, over the next year and a half, the core lesson is to learn when we must choose ourselves and when we must choose the group to which we belong. This tension may become so pronounced that, simply because we are used to choosing ourselves and saying, in effect, ‘let the snake that does not touch me live a thousand years,’ we may find ourselves on the brink of exclusion from a group, society or family – or the reverse may occur. At the very moment when we ought to choose ourselves, we may surrender to the psychology of the herd and give ourselves up. The secret lies in knowing what to choose, and when; in other words, in balance. Everyone will experience this equation through different subjects.
To help you think more easily about these themes, I will offer a few questions from different areas. Who knows – perhaps you will recognize yourself in one of them:
- Am I bringing myself forward, or am I afraid of disappearing inside a group?
- Am I clinging to what I possess, or trying to compensate for what I lack by belonging to a group?
- Am I guided by the truths of my immediate circle, or am I searching for my own truth?
- Am I holding on to the past, or avoiding the construction of my future?
- Do my individual desires weigh more heavily, or the needs of the collective?
- Do I choose love, or do I choose my ideal?
- Am I tightly bound to my daily order, or am I refusing to see my spiritual needs?
When you find answers to these questions, you will already have travelled quite a distance. Yet awareness alone is not enough. To become aware is also to assume the necessity of taking action on that very matter. When that responsibility is not met, the price can be heavy.
Still, I would like you to remember this: the celestial bodies are merely instruments that allow us to observe our lives. Never forget that the will to shape your destiny belongs to you.

July: New beginnings connected with your close environment may arise; siblings, neighbours or short journeys may come to the fore. Although your communication traffic increases, invisible obstacles or inner anxieties may slow you down. Patience is the key. It is time for a transformation in your titles. Developments at home and within the family may challenge you in the process.
August: This is a period of deep-rooted change in both your family life and your career. It is time to establish an entirely new order. If you move forward by recognizing your vulnerabilities, you can build a firmer balance in both private and professional life. Financial matters may create ruptures between you and your social circle.
GEMINI
