In the autumn issue of VOX, you can find my zodiac signs interpretations for September, October and November of 2023. However, despite October is a little more remarkable than other times due to eclipses, the sky is still dynamic; retrograde motions, zodiac signs changes, stelliums and harsh aspects… Now you know that I chose and explain one of them. This time I want to tell you about the backward motion, that is, the retro that everyone is afraid of.
First of all, you should know that celestial bodies do not pause or go back when they are in their orbits. These pauses and retros are an illusion we experience when looking at objects orbiting the Sun from Earth. But do these retros deserve notoriety? You decide that at the end of the article.
Let me also give you a little information about the pause before coming to the retro. Because pauses happen just before and right after retros, and for a while they’ve also been described as something to be afraid of.
The pause of a planet indicates that there will be a lack of progression in the themes it represents or that it will progress very slowly, and it is also related to the mistakes made. Let’s give an exemple for easy understanding: Let’s say Mercury paused during your new topic learning period. This may indicate that you will have a hard time grasping and passing that topic. Or it is possible to come across the news of “traffic stopped!”, “curfew started”, “plane’s engine stopped” when Mercury is at a standstill. Let’s give another example. You are in a period of illness, and at that time Jupiter, passing through your 6th house (or ruling your 6th house), paused. This will indicate that the progression of your disease will stop. It could also indicate a war will stop when Venus is at a standstill.
We look at backward motions with this logic. Literally, retro means “old”. In other words, when a planet makes its retrograde movement, we can think that the old will come back to us again in the themes it represents, or we can think that we will go back. This can also mean repeating something. Let’s give an example from Mercury. Again, you are studying, you can repeat the topics you have studied before when Mercury is in retrograde. In this way, you will have the opportunity to complete the topics that you did not understand well. Of course, it may not always be so light. Problems may arise in matters such as signatures, promises and hand tools. When Venus is in retrograde, there may be problems in relationships, but this may vary according to the map. For example, the wedding date of a friend of mine was postponed for a reason and their wedding took place when Venus was in retrograde. In other words, you can complete something that is unfinished in retro. For this reason, you should ignore stereotypes expressions such as “what comes with retro goes with retro”. If your reason for breaking up is time and space, your x may pretty good be your next. Venus also means physical strength; thus, a decrease in physical strength can also be observed during retro. So in summary, the result of pauses and retros may or may not please us. According to the effect of our map and the awareness we have, it can be positive or negative.
Still, I want you to know that celestial bodies are just tools that give us the opportunity to observe our lives. Therefore, do not ever forget that you have the will to shape your destiny!
