In VOX’s summer issue, you will find my celestial forecasts for June, July, and August 2025. We could say that this summer will be calmer compared to spring, yet planetary sign changes, concentrations, retrogrades, and harsh aspects are still very much present. Today, I’d like to speak a little about Saturn’s transit through Aries:
As you know, planetary movements observed from Earth occur in three ways: direct motion, retrograde motion, and a roughly six-day station between those two. Saturn, having been traveling through Pisces, crossed into Aries on May 25. By July 10, it will enter a six-day stationary phase and then begin retrograde on July 16. On September 1, it will return to Pisces. It will enter Aries again on February 14, 2026, and remain until April 13, 2028. While Saturn’s transit through a sign averages about 2½ years, its stay in Aries will last roughly three years in total.
The period I want to focus on is the Aries transit between May 25 and September 1—because this is when the earliest signals of what we will experience during Saturn in Aries manifest. Of course, when interpreting the full transit of Saturn in Aries we must consider Mars and even the Sun’s movements during that time, as well as the aspects these bodies form and the houses they occupy. But since a detailed technical analysis here isn’t feasible, and I don’t want to burden you, dear readers, with heavy jargon, let’s simply combine the general meanings that appear in our personal lives.
Astrology is a symbolic language. First, let’s look at what these two symbols represent:
Saturn: to limit, restrict, forbid, reduce, delay, slow down, be slowed, numb, mature, age, obstruct, reject, protect within rules, earn, be just, follow rules, act properly, change, solve problems, relate, integrate, agree, reconcile, group, build, be like the dead, know your boundary, understand from nothing/stop/no, get blocked, harden, freeze, become rigid, isolate, etc.
Aries: to pioneer, lead, take initiative, push, wield power, strive, struggle, begin, battle, attack, show no mercy, be impatient, overcome obstacles, eliminate obstacles, triumph over, try, exist, have sex, speak clearly, explore, invent, innovate, laugh, tease (which is also a form of attack), self-motivate, enjoy, live in the moment, be childlike, be showy, be a savior, act impulsively, risk accidents, be the first, etc.
Indeed, we could extend these meanings further, but this will suffice for now—and then some.
When we compare the meanings of these two symbols, they appear quite opposite—and indeed they are. This tension is exactly the paradox of this period. We must, in essence, find a midpoint between the two. How?
For example, suppose we have a problem. Saturn wants that problem resolved properly, slowly, with caution. Aries demands that the problem be eliminated at any cost and as soon as possible. So, in the areas of life where we experience Saturn in Aries, we will face this kind of contradiction—and that contradiction will bring stress.
Of course, nothing is purely negative or purely positive. If we find a way to overcome the problem, we will receive our merits. Perhaps we’ll create a system for the first time, start a new business, or discover something. In other words, we will accomplish great things with limited means.
Each of us will experience this in different life areas, depending on our personal charts. No matter the domain, there are some general principles we should all heed. Here are a few:
Struggle, but not by attacking—fairly.
Fight, but not to destroy—aim to reconcile.
Take, but not everything—take what you deserve.
Ward off a problem, not by destroying it—by setting boundaries.
Begin something, but not randomly—do so with a plan.
Lead, but not dictatorially—cultivate group awareness.
Block your actions, but not all of them—just those that break the rules.
Slow down, but not as if awaiting death—slow to feel life and your being.
Be open and clear, but not to wound—know your limits.
Exert pressure, but not to oppress—bring forth the diamond.
Act, but not recklessly—instill consistency.
Be courageous, but not childish—exercise care.
The list goes on and on…
Still, remember: celestial bodies are merely tools that allow us to observe our lives. Never forget that the will to shape your destiny resides within you!
