Hello everyone, with the arrival of spring, in this issue, I will tell you which products we should choose at home and how we should apply them.

First of all, I should state that when choosing your household products, you should choose dermatological, pharmaceutical, or organic products. Although cosmetic products seem to repair our skin, they actually damage the layers of our skin.

Consuming more than the product our skin needs also damages our skin layers, just like cosmetic products. For this reason, when choosing a product, we should get support from experts in the field and most importantly, we should know our skin well.

Come on, let's look at what general products we should choose together and how we should use them.

Skin Cleansing

The first step in our care routine should always be skin cleansing twice a day, morning and evening. There are many forms of skin cleansing products. Gel, foam, water-based or creamy products are a few of them. It is very important to use cleansing products that are suitable for your skin type. Improper use can cause dryness, acne breakouts or oily skin.

If your skin is oily, mixed or prone to acne, the cleansing product you prefer should be in the form of gel or foam. Skin cleansing products in the form of gel or foam remove excess oil from the skin and give it a more lively appearance.

If you have dry or sensitive skin, your preference should be creamy cleansers. Such cleansers will cleanse your skin of the dirt brought by daily life, while at the same time keeping it moisturized and revitalized.

Tonic Use

Although many people do not prefer tonic, it actually provides great benefits to your skin in the right type and use. You can clean the pores that cleaning products cannot clean with tonic and you can clean the remaining dirt deeply. The use of tonic should be among your care routine, which you will use twice a day, morning and evening, just like cleaning products.

If you have acne problems or have oily, large-pored skin, your preference should be tonics containing fruit acids, namely AHA-BHA. While such products clean the pores of your skin, they also prevent oiliness and calm acne.

Mixed skins should prefer alcohol-containing tonics. The common problem of this type of skin is that the skin lubrication is only in the T-zone. While alcohol-containing products balance this area, they also make the skin look brighter and more vibrant.

For dry and sensitive skin, tonics with soothing properties should be used. Such products will soothe your skin and reduce the appearance of redness.

Serum Preference

The use of serum has increased tremendously nowadays. When serums are chosen correctly, they are an investment we make in the future for our skin. Serums are intense and concentrated products. The products that we do not use in the right amount can cause damage to our skin such as staining and oiling. For this reason, using the right product is very, very important.

If you are between the ages of 20-25, your preference should be moisture-weighted serums with hyaluronic content. People in this age range generally prefer to have brighter and more vibrant skin. Moisture-weighted serums can be considered as a kind of starting serum for regular care. If you use moisture-based serums on the skin, your skin will gain a more vibrant and bright appearance, while at the same time it will provide the daily moisture you need.

If you are in the group over the age of 25, your preference should be anti-aging serums with ingredients such as antioxidants, vitamins C and E, or retinol. Such serums have restructuring and cell regenerative properties. Regeneration of cells provides the vitamin and antioxidant support that the skin needs, and also reduces the signs of aging on your skin.

You can add moisturizing serums to your care routine twice a day, morning and evening. You can apply your antioxidant serums once a day in the evening or twice a day, in the morning and evening, depending on your skin structure and the intensity of the sun's rays. It would be helpful to get support from an expert in this regard.

Moisturizer

First of all, I must state that the water you drink daily is the most important ingredient in meeting the moisture your skin needs. However, the moisturizing creams that you will add to your care routine will more than meet the moisture your skin needs. Dry skin always wrinkles faster, so you should not neglect your moisturizer in your daily life.

Moisturizer types are divided into three as water-based, oil-based or in serum form. Again, your preference should change according to your skin structure.

When using a moisturizer, we should keep it away from our eyes. Since our eye area has sensitive tissue, it can cause lubrication in that area.

If you have dull, tired or dehydrated skin, you should prefer intensive oil-based cream moisturizers. Oil-based products will more than meet the moisture your skin needs. Its use should be twice a day, in the morning and evening.

If you have karma, acne-prone or deep-pored skin, your choice should be water-based products. Water-based moisturizers prevent your skin from getting oily.

Dry, sensitive, capillary-like skin structures should prefer oil-based and ceramide-containing products that repair the skin barrier.

The use of skin moisturizers may change according to the seasonal transitions. It would be better to evaluate your skin with a good skin analysis and then choose your moisturizer.

Eye Contour

Our eye area is divided into lower and upper eyelids. Not all eye contour products are suitable for application to the upper eyelid. When choosing a product, it will be useful to pay attention to this point and consult an expert.

You can add eye contour products to your daily care routine by using them twice a day, morning and evening. You can take the cream with your little finger as a lentil grain and apply it from the outer corner of the eye (crow's feet area) to the inside.

If you are in the 20-25 age group, your choice should be products around the eyes with moisture content. Moisture is one of the most basic needs of the skin in this age group. If you provide the moisture of the skin in a balanced way, the skin will not dry and fine lines will not occur.

25 and over age groups should prefer intense nourishing products that contain moisture and anti-aging content and also eliminate the ringing problem. From the age of 25, the skin begins to show signs of aging. Intensive mimic use also causes lines around the eyes. For this reason, the skin begins to need anti-aging. When your preference is for products containing anti-aging, you will avoid this problem.

Sunscreen

Now we all know the harmful effects of sun rays on the skin surface. We should use sunscreens, which should be a part of our lives, by renewing them 4-5 times a day, both in summer and winter. When buying sunscreen, you should make sure that your preference is at least 30 SPF and above. My recommendation is to use 50+ SPF.

There are many types of sunscreens; colored, gel form or creamy structures are a few of them. While purchasing the products, it is essential to pay attention to the UVA and UVB properties. These features are the most important features that will protect you from the damage caused by the sun's rays.

So, what is the difference between 30 SPF and 50 SPF? While 30 SPF protects 97% from harmful rays, SPF 50 and above protect you from 99% of harmful rays.

With the spring months, we begin to renew and refresh. Let's add our skin to this renewal adventure. If you choose a product by following my recommendations, you will enter the summer with bright and lively skin.

Take good care of yourself until we see you in the next issue...
