This Sufi saying is the first sentence of my book “A World Without Filters Is Possible”, which is a gift to me from January 2024 and for which I still feel excited
What is beauty? Is it the ratio between eyebrows and eyes, height and weight values, the color of the hair, and the sharpness of the chin? Let’s think about it.
Beauty is integrity. To me, it is being one with a whole. An entity that knows the value of its existence is aware of the earth on which we live and is responsible for its body and mind, which is beautiful, in my opinion. You may argue that as a plastic surgeon, your job is related to our bodies, faces, and outer skin. But I know that each touch on our body also leaves a trace in our spirits and minds. I have followed these traces throughout centuries in my book, and I believe that when we understand the philosophy and development of beauty, we will also understand ourselves.
