In our lives, we always look for "miraculous formulas" or "redeeming methods" in our situations, waiting to achieve something. So, is success possible without accepting responsibility?
Habit is the act of acting without thought or planning, and when the outcome of our actions is a disappointment, it makes us doubt our abilities.
For instance, a person who bemoans their weight can try shock dieting on their own to reduce weight. The individual who could not get positive results from the diet program said, "I tried, but I can't lose weight." s/he refuses to take responsibility. However, success is not as difficult as it seems, with multi-faceted support (dietician counseling, sports, healthy life…).
We can begin by putting a blank slate in front of us in order to make more conscious decisions about various aspects of our lives, such as work, mind, emotions, thoughts, body, bilateral relationships, and social attitudes, or related to our beliefs, values, habits, temperament, or daily lifestyles.
List your beneficial traits pertaining to the subjects we have discussed above on one side of the sheet, and your negative features pertaining to the same topics on the other. Determine and project, in particular, the benefits you wish to grow the greatest. Then, design them by determining which pests you want to get rid of first and foremost. You can undertake study and receive support if you are uncertain about this matter. Or meditative behaviors can be supportive. Take action by picking an item from your list that you find easiest and most enjoyable. Since you make failure impossible, this approach is particularly effective in eliminating the "prove-failure" vicious cycle that unwittingly undermines you. Otherwise, you will hear the sound of the saboteur inside you. You'll observe that after completing the easier and more enjoyable first steps, you'll feel more confident and internally motivated to push through the tasks that may first be more challenging and unpleasant.
Use stimulants to keep being reminded of that thing all the time. For example, putting a stimulant on the refrigerator door, mirror, table, car, or an alarm clock and agenda. Observe the positive life patterns around you, and join clubs like those for sports, yoga and meditation, and book reading. Praise and reward yourself for each action you take. As opposed to what we are accustomed to, the reward need not always be financial. The most important reward is the recognition of success as valuable.
Keep in mind that our successes are the best rewards. Until the next post, take care...
